The Snap Lock RPE does not turn back unless the doctor or patient turns it back. The hole in the spindle is always in the right place for reactivation. If over-activated the Snap Lock Expander can be turned back.

Forestadent's 12mm Anatomic type 'N' Palatal Split Screw follows the human anatomy better than ordinary RPE's. Pre-bent arms are set inside the body of the screw for strength during palatal expansion. Spindle is designed to avoid screw turning back.
